Please note: during Thanksgiving week all of our ovens are being used to cook our famous traditional meals and pies, and we are unable to take orders for cooked poultry, other than our Thanksgiving Dinners during that time.

Day 1: Ready To Serve

When you take home your freshly cooked turkey from Zorn’s, you only have one step before serving: carve the turkey. Your turkey dinner is already hot and ready to eat! For the first night, serve the turkey breast with your choice of Zorn’s delicious side dishes for thunderous applause from your family.

Next Step: Prepare for the Week

Cut off the legs and wings, divide the leftovers into portions for the week. Now that you’ve prepared the turkey for the week, you have seventy-five more steps to go. Just kidding!

Fill a large pot with water and submerge the turkey bones and some vegetables in it. A good choice of vegetables would be celery, onions, shallots, and parsley. Let the pot simmer as you enjoy dinner, checking on it every hour to skim foam off the surface and make sure your dog or cat hasn’t jumped on the counter to steal a taste. After about four hours, strain out the bones and vegetables.

Let the broth cool before putting it into a container to store. The broth should be good for another 2-3 days in the fridge or a few months in the freezer. (If you can wait that long to enjoy it!)

Day 2: Lovely Legs

It’s day two and your family is looking for an encore of last night’s extravaganza, but you have a twist to keep them on their toes. The dark meat of the turkey legs is a great change of pace and flavor from the breast. Serve with the rest of your Zorn’s side dishes or with fresh vegetables to round out the meal.

Day 3: Savory Soup

That turkey broth you prepared when you brought home your turkey is the perfect base for a comforting, healthy meal. Add your favorite spices, vegetables, and even whole-wheat macaroni or spaghetti and in minutes you’ll have a heart and body-warming favorite for chilly winter nights.

Day 4: Panini Paradise

Zorn’s turkey breast is a great way to add some oomph to a tried and true classic. Spice up your sandwich with hearty bread, different varieties of cheese, and your favorite sauces. Plus, your kids will love eating dinner with their hands!

Day 5: Creamy Casserole

The mouthwatering bits and pieces of Zorn’s turkey and sides are probably too good to be called leftovers; but a casserole is a great way to savor every last ounce of goodness! Stir together the last pieces of turkey with shredded cheese and vegetables and your choice of sauce. Try cream of mushroom soup for an excellent compliment to the turkey flavor. Then bake in the oven. You can even be creative and add a crunchy top out of stuffing or breadcrumbs!
